Dr. Jonathan Serugunda
Role: Senior Researcher, netLabs!UG
Dr. Serugunda achieved a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical) from Makerere University in 2005, and moved to the United Kingdom to undergo an Master of Science in Communication Engineering at the University of Manchester which he received in 2008. He returned to Uganda for a short time to work at Makerere before returning to the UK where he worked on a research project and was awarded Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bristol in 2014. Dr. Serugunda has worked as a Core Network Planning Engineer with Airtel Uganda and as a Radio Network Planning and Optimisation Engineer, Huawei. He is currently a lecturer at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering as well as a researcher with netLabs!UG, both in the College of Engineering, Design, Art & Technology (CEDAT), Makerere University.
